The Name of Jesus

Psalms 20
7Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the Lord our God.
Our trust is in God! What a joy to serve an unwavering God! Nothing like being a child of God and enjoying the blessings that He gives to us!
Our joy comes from serving the one true God! I’m glad I know His name… Jesus!

Acts 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Comment was made we need to unlock the book of ACTS. I have been think that over the books of ATS have been unlock to us, Since Acts 2:38 with the basic formula of repentance. And has not changed in 2000 thousand years which goes back to. Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ the Same yesterday, and today and forever. The Bible also say John 14:12-14, and in Mark 16:17-18 To Sum it signs wonders and miracles. But back in John 14:12-14 Greater things shall you do in my name. Now not to take away from all the great revivals or what is going on but the book of ACTs never closes out. Read it. We need to stops focusing on what has happened in the church or the greatness we perceived that has happened. And just Blow that out of the water and make the book of Acts look like a footnote in history. It can be done. The bible already states the Keys already unlocked. God’s word does not change. A little work Pray and fasting and holding the what was wrong before still is and what has work before will still work to get Gods attention. Time to take a stand for revival in the land all over until it shake the foundations of Haven itself. What say you.

Lines or Boundaries

I have just a few thoughts for this week I don’t want to take up to much time but in Exodus 24:11 But it does not say where Joshua has to wait. But God gives us lines our whole life they don’t leave the Ten Commandments, for example holiness other example. Just so we are on the right track Hebrews 13: 8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever. So why is it when lifestyles of views opposed to God’s words have to make you try to bend so hard when standing on God’s word. I made a stand on God’s word that I was raised on by my parents and have made my own. Now the world will not hear our point of view without tearing your heart out or almost physical violence or disowning you over a simple Acts 2:38 message or a stance you will not change over Gods word you will stand upon the rock. The bible says in Matthew 19:29 And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name’s sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life. So as this world comes closer to an end I hope we all have the strength to stand on our own with God and no one else because at times it may seem like even he is silent and we have to push a little harder and make the right decision on our own and be our own Bible hero we may one great victory then a fall but then we get back up and start again by the grace of God what say you.

So I was thinking after a few events and watching some things in my life and other things and having a being down and out a little bit. So my wife was shopping and another Christian knocked down and isle to get away from her and this isn’t the first it happened to is So why dose Paul in Hebrews 10:25Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. So I was look at this scripter along with a couple of others. We like to use this as the lynch pin on why we should all go to church and outs as a group. And it is a good one to use. If you are in the in crowd of the church and part of the select few who fit in. but what of the ones on the fringe who aren’t always invented to those small things here or there even though they are working with God to change their attuited , appearance. And they go to church week in and week out no for the assembling together but out of obligation to God and previous scripters that speak of Psalms 122:1 I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the LORD. The reason Paul had to Preach it is christens can be the worst offenders we can come in holier than though on Sunday but we can neglect those as mention above Monday through Saturday. So then I was thinking during these times I have had other friends who have been a little more friendly in 2 Corinthians 6:14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? And summarized in Ephesians 5:1-10 but the trap is when the people in the world with no influence from the devil just treat you like a normal human being. This friendship can feel good and may become closer than friends you in church and some of them would even go out of the way to help you out even more than those in the church wonder why you wonder you have an issue huh. One what started out as simple interest may now be an attack two I think this is the same problem back in the day and why it had to be taught. It is not God that was the problem it was the supposed people of God. Look at most of God’s ministries it was not the sinners he was having a hard time but the church elite of his day. It’s a hard trap to overcome because the church clicks don’t go away and you can’t remove the cloak of invisibility even if you tried and you feel that pull from other people that make you feel better. God knows you exists and someone else dose to so what say you.

2 Thessalonians 2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition.I use this text as my base text for a reason but not say this happing but as we all know in some ways that could be sided it is the truth but a different type off warning for those who are on the fence or the life just beating them down or what people know as truth getting twisted around by events it happens trust me on this one. My all-time bible stories growing up is when Elijah calls fire from heaven in 1 Kings 18 he did that without the holy ghost. I believe because I have the holy ghost I have that same authority and can call fire down from heaven. Now another member in our church loves Peter walking on the water Matthew 14:22-36, Mark 6:45; John 6:16 and believes with the Holy ghost he should have that same authority. I look at these two stores and see more a Giant killer, a Healer, A walker, I could go on. But if we lose faith in the hero sometimes we hope to be first not that the bible persons was not a human but what he represented to you in God weather it was a King, a Prophet, apostle, Teacher, or a humble servant, but the quality was so strong and when you started out and now you are now you are questioning your ways. Sometimes it is good to go back to the BASICS Prayer, even if you have to recites the Lord’s Prayer and if you have to go one step back Deuteronomy 6: Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD . Fast a meal or two. The ultimate reality is if we are losing touch with our bible heroes and don’t have time for them how much time are you going to make for God then I am afraid in the end you really will slowing unknowingly fall away and it will all be too late. So maybe it’s time to ask god for forgiveness and get a little fire, a little water , maybe carry a muster seed, a carry rock for the next giant, or a little oil for when you will be the one doing the pray for healing who knows what could happen what says you.

Are you Ready?

This week thought is not going to be to complex a thought just are you ready? My son was complaining this week on night someone was watching him in his room now some of this may have been him trying to stay up or he was having a night mare but whatever the reason I grabbed my BIBLE hade it opened to Psalms 91 the lords protection and prayed over that room with the authority of Jesus Christ and the word of God at my side all groggy at mid night but I did fell the power of God whether or not anything was in that room and at least to me my son has not used that excuse to me again. I have also been praying for my other sons head aces. I guess where I a going with this is one 2 Timothy 4:2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine. I know it says preach but I think it can be also used to reflect other aspects of our life’s. My second point will flow into the third is dose God and the Devil know who you are Acts 19:13-17 . Then certain of the vagabond Jews, exorcists, took upon them to call over them which had evil spirits the name of the LORD Jesus, saying, We adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preacheth. And there were seven sons of one Sceva, a Jew, and chief of the priests, which did so. And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye? And the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, and overcame them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded. And this was known to all the Jews and Greeks also dwelling at Ephesus; and fear fell on them all, and the name of the Lord Jesus was magnified. Which then leads to my final though on this matter maybe but you must have at least the faith of the muster seed Matthew 17: 20-21 And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you. Howbeit this kind Goethe not out but by prayer and fasting. So we need to prayer and fast on our own to get God’s side to work out salvation and have the power when required and so the devil may know who not to mess with. There will not always be a preach ear around to pray for you in a situation you have to do it all on your own. Do you have what it takes to stand your own ground trust the Lord. To take care of your family. And other problems and I relays that some problem get big and you need a pastors help but some things as Christians we can do on our own we have the same Christ given authority to Luke 10:19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Again Faith and and some pray and fasting and dedication Phillipans 2:12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. There you have it my thought on the subject a little jumbled are you ready are you going to work towards getting ready then the final question won’t be so hard am I ready. What say you?

I have had a tough time with prayer lately and hared a few things and this was a thought that enter my mind so I thought I would look it up. Matthew 14:22-33 Mark 6:45-52 and John 16-21. We all know this story of Peter walking on the water and we will get back to it. II Samuel 2 II David and Bath-sheba 2 Corinthians 12:5-10 Thorn in Paul’s flesh I Kings 19 Elijah Flees. What do all these have to do with distractions well let’s get to it I fell that there are three main way the devil tries to spin thing down in your life besides what the world has going on in it 24*7 The first is focus to make you look around at all the problems around you I used the of Peter and Elijah to reference this the greats thing is god gave them both an answer or Elijah an answer out of a still small voice and for peter god reached for his hand. I would be in remiss to say this type of distraction can usually be brought on by ourselves for looking away from the lord. I would say a second type of Distraction is Chronic conditions we can look in the book of Job and the John 5:1-5. These are usually ailments that stay with a person for a long time and they do play havoc with a person’s life and where a person out mentally and make them tired easy for attack. Another Distraction is our own mental state what problems we dwell on things out of our control that God has allowed to happen Book of Job to test us to measure our charter or loyalty, faithfulliness . So say all to echo some thought I hear I mine as well stay home , God does not care why does this happen to me, I must have no faith, I suck, I am I am unworthy. The good news in all those the thought process is always I but to back it up with God’s word Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. Proverbs 18:10 The name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe. I would also say you should never try to run these problems on you r own you need to go to the lord with pray and try to find your focus and if that dose not work find someone to pray with that will pray with you tuill you can find your focus James 5:16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. It is not easy by no means to keep going some times and 1 friend can also make the difference. Now for the world distractions you will need to have enough faith In god to have him lead you away from all sin as in david and bath-sheba. Those are also just every day struggle we all must face as living a separate life stile we know those three areas the Pride of life the lust of the flesh and lust of the eyes which we all deal with on a daily bias. So What say you

Asaph Bad Day Psalm 73
So I have been think of all the people that have left recently for one reason or another, and some other issues in my life and this was the scripter that was front most in my life. In Psalm 73 1-15 Asaph is looking at the world I won’t put the whole Psalm here you will have to go read it yourself. He talks about the prosperity of the wicked witch comes from the Hebrew word rasha` but its root id RA which is evil it appears in the old testament 249 times it. In verse 2 Asaph says his foot almost slipped we will get back to that when he looked away on the prosperity of the wicked . Job 15 When Job friend talks about the wicked. Asaph talks they are not troubled as other men I propose two things on 2 PETER 2:21 For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them. and the second is you have now enter a different warfare in life a spiritual warfare not against flesh and blood Ephesians 6:12 and we are now more aware of our advisers the Devil. Our adviser does not want to see the righteous make it to heaven he wants to take down as many as he can he already owns the wicked he not going to take the time to pull them down father in the mud if they are already there. But I want to point out one think first in verse 3 Asaph looked reminds me of another story in the bible Matthew 14:24-33, Mark 6 47-52 and John 6:16:21 when peter look at the water and not at Jesus. But Asaph ends it with being a fool and waking up in God’s house. Proverbs 18:10 The name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe Isaiah 40:31 But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. So we have a place to go the word of God and the House of God even when I think all those that have fallen and I am I luck to have my soul and and the wicked prosper guess my eyes are on the wrong place and some times and not running to the right place at times what say you.

I have some thoughts moving around this thought Addictions. I won’t take up much time today Romans 3:23 For all have sinned and come short of the Glory of God; A very true statement for all us But I wanted to look at addiction from webesters says 1 : the quality or state of being addicted 2 : compulsive need for and use of a habit-forming substance (as heroin, nicotine, or alcohol) characterized by tolerance and by well-defined physiological symptoms upon withdrawal; broadly : persistent compulsive use of a substance known by the user to be harmful. I want to point out all addiction are a heaven and hell issues in my opion reading, comics, games, there are others more on boarder line, smoking, drinking, then a couple that cross the line adultery. There could be good addiction reading bible, prayer, fasting church attendance, on those previous they are harder to work at and we have to usually fight the negative addiction. Addictions can become a stumbling block Romans 14, 1 Corinthians 8. Are Addictions a way to hide ourselves from our problems and feel a small amount of pleasure or are they a way to keep from following God fully. I think we need to examine what we allow to take up our time and look at some of our battles and look at the origin. I don’t believe a sprit is behind everything sometimes it is just the flesh and how we want to deal with individual problems. I just wanted the thought to come up, what say you?

I have an interesting thought this week 1 Samuel 24:6 6And he said unto his men, The LORD forbid that I should do this thing unto my master, the LORD’s anointed, to stretch forth mine hand against him, seeing he is the anointed of the LORD. 1 Samuel 24:10 10Behold, this day thine eyes have seen how that the LORD had delivered thee to day into mine hand in the cave: and some bade me kill thee: but mine eye spared thee; and I said, I will not put forth mine hand against my lord; for he is the LORD’s anointed. This same point is readdressed in 1 Samuel 26. I have heard a lot of preacher use this subject to advised not to talk about them due to their in position of leader ship. I still see where DAVID still citised Saul and his leardship and If you look up at the word anointed it means a•noint əˈnɔɪntShow Spelled[uh-noint] verb (used with object) 1. to rub or sprinkle on; apply an unguent, ointment, or oily liquid to. 2. to smear with any liquid. 3. to consecrate or make sacred in a ceremony that includes the token applying of oil: He anointed the new high priest. 4. to dedicate to the service of God. I don’t have a problem with just a couple of thoughts to add to this ideal maybe. 1. All members of the church are called to preach the great commission Mark 16: 15-20, Luke 24 44-49 Matthew 18-20 so we are all called to preach the gospel dose that protection flow to the saints when they are witnessing. Also what of those running ministries (Sunday school, usher, janitor, sound technician and many others) in church are they not also called and anointed would not that protection also fall on them. Then what about when Paul rebuke Peter public in Antioch I still have a few more thoughts. 2 Timothy 1:9 Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began, ACTS 2:39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the LORD our God shall call. So if God dose the calling and anointing with the Holy Ghost are we not all anointed. I Peter 2:9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light; The rest of the scripture also has deserves some reading . 2 Corinthians 1:21-22 Now he which stablisheth us with you in Christ, and hath anointed us, is God; 22Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts. Romans 12: 2-5 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. 3For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith. 4For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office: 5So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another. We have been told to test the sprits I John 4:1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but test the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. Philippians 2:12 12Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. I do you have to take what is preached and read the scriptures and test and pray to what is preached before you accept it on blind faith just because it is preached also the same goes for talking about people’s problems they should be handled the same way as the pastor wants to be treated I believe God’s protection extends to all due to we are all under God’s anointed protection so all situation should be handled In a professional and godly manner from marriages, deployed personnel, mental problems, church functions all should be included or all should be exclude. What say you?
