What dose Faith say or mean to you

Author: Administrator

I know I have not said anything last two to three weeks not for lack of lessons I have some extras prewritten with God’s help have but have been sick and variations on normal medical conditions. I don’t have an actual bible study lesson per say but the question that has been hounding  me these three weeks is what is Faith Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen, you can read the rest of Hebrews 11 for the hero’s of faith. I guess some people would say I don’t have FAITH because I am  on pills for a reason or two and have missed the blog and church for three weeks. Both people in and out of the church make comments or fun of outward fact as they are presented to them or what we allow people to see or know.  People in and out of church don’t always see the battle that rages every day just to get up and face the world.  But what if Faith is as simple as saying when the alarm goes off in the morning, God I am getting up one more time I don’t know how I am going to make thorough this day with what ever the problem is and I am not going to forget you or your word  and I will provide for my family with the Job you have given me and I will do the best I can to move your word forward day to day thur church outreach and standards. So what say you.

Habit

Author: Administrator

Well another week has come and gone but a thought has been in my mind Addiction vs habit and where the line is between the two. Habit is defined by Websters (a) as a behavior pattern acquiring by frequent repetition physiologis exposure that shows itself in regularity or increased facilitry performance (b) an acquired mode of behavior that has become nearly or completely involuntary <got up early from a force of habit> Addition id defined as 1: the quality or stat of being addiction 2: complusev need for a substance characterized by tolerance and by well defined physiological withdrawal or giving and over. If you look at the two words there seems to be a very fine line between the two. I will start with one of my habits is when i come home i put my keys and wallet and id cards in a military hat and pull them out even though i have been out of the military for 5 years i still keep it going if my equipment is not there i don’t know where it is. You may laugh but that is the way i do things almost automatically. You may have other habits you complete automatically. They are not totally bad in nature it happen you always have to be early or always have things end in 00 just not negitivly impactions they are part of you. Addictions we all assume are just Drugs or addictive substance.  another deffiation of and addiction is a pleasant chemical response in the brain in which it will crave that substance. This could be food, candy, TV, Games, these on long term stuids show to have an actual chemical response on the brain that can almost be called addiction not a habit. We probably all have some habits can also put you at ease also so they can cross the line. . In Genesis 3 is the story of our new concept SIN this condition now radiates our life is it a habit or addiction I will let you deiced on that point but the bible points outs in Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God. I John 5talks about sin leading to death. Which would almost seem like an addiction. What say you but we can also change our was and get a new addiction or habit Acts 2:38 shows the way for a change. 2 Corinthians 12:7 And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure. For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me. And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. So lets get addicted to the new wine in as professed in Peter in acts 2 and by the old testament profit Joel 2:28-29 And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit So in closing there is a very fine line between habit and addiction what do you call things in your life and it is time to turn our habits and addictions on to god for he is able to strength us and stated before and dose not lead to eternal death but Gods promise of heave and eternal life. The only real thought that I wanted to leave with you is this we need to examine our habits or addictions and see if they really are good for us and do they fall in line with God. Have a good week all.

Ears

Author: Administrator

Well this is a new week I have been playing with backgrounds and different tools so you may see some of those changes coming about in the next few weeks or so. I guess this week is a bible study per say but more of a question. I was having a conversation at work on morning about how the world is progressing and how even though he was christian he dose not believe in Acts 2:38 how even they see a rapid decline in the world. But the question i am going to ask may seem silly but may make you think in Matthew 11:15, 13:9, 13:43, Mark 4:9, 4:23, 7:16 Luke 8:8 Luke 14:34 The main subject of he that hath ears to hear, let him hear. I don’t see were it even mentions the spertuial man but the physical act of just listing with our ears. Even preaching is by hearing I Corinthians 1:21 even faith by hearing Romans 10:17 there is power in what we hear. So the question is even with the events of the world turn and they hear and see the events turn around them at a dizzying pace and some what fell perplexed at the events that are transpiring and they are not holy ghost filled, what do you hear and what dose it make you feel. Dose your heart rejoice as the events transpire as God has called out or are they an indrefrance and is is just some more noise to block out. I will have to admit the noise is loud it pumps all the time now 24*7 they really did not have that problem in the bible when it was night the world would calm for a time until the dawning of new light, but not so now. So what say you all who read this.

New Year

Author: Administrator

Well happy new year to all and hope you all had a good holidays. 1 have a couple of thoughts maybe a couple of questions in mind today if I have any text reference it would be John 1 and II Timothy. So I will just get started where is your bible don’t open it if it is closed just rub your hand on the cover is there a hand print left behind or the same if your bible is open. I bring this to mind because if you got your kids or even your self some toys and you had to put them together you needed directions you followed them or if your an excerpt in that one area you relie on experience but you had to learn it once crack open a book. So why don’t we apply this to God and to our spurital walk with God. The Bible states no one is perfect except God and we all have fallen short. One final thought is closing BIBLE (Basic Instruction Before Leaving Earth) weather you follow the directions or not all have an consequence for where you will spend eternity.

Mirror

Author: Administrator

I have an interesting question for you. The question is who is the man or woman you see in the mirror. I ask this question not just to beat on anyone in particular but because I beat myself up when I look in the mirror. How free do you fell when you look at yourself or when in the bathroom taking medicines to move? Or maybe it is a weight issue or any number of issues know way I am going to hit them all but just take a second or go look in the mirror before you read on take a look a good look who do you see behind the eyes. I know it not a great test I have done just looked at my eyes looked in myself or maybe you still see the past, the scars, the emptiness of the daily grind. I did not say I have completed a great sin in my life. The problem is as the days get worse and worse the bible even says so Matthew 24:36-38 36But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. 37But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. 38For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, but there is hope I know I have been searching and sometimes it still gets to me but Isaiah 61:1-3 1The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound; 2To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn; 3To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.Luke 4:17-19 17And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written, 18The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, 19To preach the acceptable year of the Lord. Micah 7:19 19He will turn again, he will have compassion upon us; he will subdue our iniquities; and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea. Psalm 55:22 (King James Version) 22Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved. 1 Peter 5:6-7 6Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: 7Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. I could go on with more scriputers. I know it is not easy but maybe we need to just follows God’s word and let him break the chains one by one it could make things in our lives so much eaiser to get to God. I wish I had a perfect answer for you on this one but this a day to day battle fr my own mind and soul also.

Blog is Back

Author: Administrator

The blog is back I have to admit I have given this a lot of thought. This may not be ever week or have ministry support. These studies or chat are not going to change the plane of salvation as written in ACTS 2:38. This blog is just to make you think and encourage discussion. Enjoy and God bless you all
