Addiction

I have some thoughts moving around this thought Addictions. I won’t take up much time today Romans 3:23 For all have sinned and come short of the Glory of God; A very true statement for all us But I wanted to look at addiction from webesters says 1 : the quality or state of being addicted 2 : compulsive need for and use of a habit-forming substance (as heroin, nicotine, or alcohol) characterized by tolerance and by well-defined physiological symptoms upon withdrawal; broadly : persistent compulsive use of a substance known by the user to be harmful. I want to point out all addiction are a heaven and hell issues in my opion reading, comics, games, there are others more on boarder line, smoking, drinking, then a couple that cross the line adultery. There could be good addiction reading bible, prayer, fasting church attendance, on those previous they are harder to work at and we have to usually fight the negative addiction. Addictions can become a stumbling block Romans 14, 1 Corinthians 8. Are Addictions a way to hide ourselves from our problems and feel a small amount of pleasure or are they a way to keep from following God fully. I think we need to examine what we allow to take up our time and look at some of our battles and look at the origin. I don’t believe a sprit is behind everything sometimes it is just the flesh and how we want to deal with individual problems. I just wanted the thought to come up, what say you?

Anointed

I have an interesting thought this week 1 Samuel 24:6 6And he said unto his men, The LORD forbid that I should do this thing unto my master, the LORD’s anointed, to stretch forth mine hand against him, seeing he is the anointed of the LORD. 1 Samuel 24:10 10Behold, this day thine eyes have seen how that the LORD had delivered thee to day into mine hand in the cave: and some bade me kill thee: but mine eye spared thee; and I said, I will not put forth mine hand against my lord; for he is the LORD’s anointed. This same point is readdressed in 1 Samuel 26. I have heard a lot of preacher use this subject to advised not to talk about them due to their in position of leader ship. I still see where DAVID still citised Saul and his leardship and If you look up at the word anointed it means a•noint əˈnɔɪntShow Spelled[uh-noint] verb (used with object) 1. to rub or sprinkle on; apply an unguent, ointment, or oily liquid to. 2. to smear with any liquid. 3. to consecrate or make sacred in a ceremony that includes the token applying of oil: He anointed the new high priest. 4. to dedicate to the service of God. I don’t have a problem with just a couple of thoughts to add to this ideal maybe. 1. All members of the church are called to preach the great commission Mark 16: 15-20, Luke 24 44-49 Matthew 18-20 so we are all called to preach the gospel dose that protection flow to the saints when they are witnessing. Also what of those running ministries (Sunday school, usher, janitor, sound technician and many others) in church are they not also called and anointed would not that protection also fall on them. Then what about when Paul rebuke Peter public in Antioch I still have a few more thoughts. 2 Timothy 1:9 Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began, ACTS 2:39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the LORD our God shall call. So if God dose the calling and anointing with the Holy Ghost are we not all anointed. I Peter 2:9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light; The rest of the scripture also has deserves some reading . 2 Corinthians 1:21-22 Now he which stablisheth us with you in Christ, and hath anointed us, is God; 22Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts. Romans 12: 2-5 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. 3For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith. 4For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office: 5So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another. We have been told to test the sprits I John 4:1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but test the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. Philippians 2:12 12Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. I do you have to take what is preached and read the scriptures and test and pray to what is preached before you accept it on blind faith just because it is preached also the same goes for talking about people’s problems they should be handled the same way as the pastor wants to be treated I believe God’s protection extends to all due to we are all under God’s anointed protection so all situation should be handled In a professional and godly manner from marriages, deployed personnel, mental problems, church functions all should be included or all should be exclude. What say you?
